In 2022 she received ordination as a Buddhist nun. In recent times she has been working on a memoir, focusing on her experiences of migrating to Ireland and exploring her family history and the richness of Irish culture and language.

Throughout her writing career she has encouraged others to write, and has given talks and workshops to empower individuals to overcome their inner critics, develop strong self-belief and embrace the adventure of the blank page.
